Group Update – Feb 12, 2013

Greetings, all!  As we reach the middle of February, there are a couple of things that I want to share with everyone.

On our “Help Us” page, there is now a link to order the new FSFFA window stickers.  $5 will get you two stickers, postage included.  All funds will stay with the group to help us grow.  This is the first of several items that I want to create for our supporters in the coming weeks and months.  Nobody will know that we exist if we don’t work together to get the word out!

I am planning to meet with Senator Venables this week.  The Senator is a staunch pro-rights legislator, and I am looking forward to spending some time with him.  I hope to get some insight into how things work in Dover, and I am hoping to convince him that FSFFA can make a difference in defending our rights.  After the meeting, I will report back to everyone on the overall mood of how things are expected to go next month.  Right now, I can say that there is still a real danger of having many of our firearms rights restricted if we allow things to continue with no opposition.

Webmaster Bob has made incredible progress with the site!  We have a great looking web presence now, and I cannot thank him enough for the time and effort that he has put into the project.

I am still looking for a couple of good people to help out in key positions.  I would like to find one person in each county to act as “Ambassadors” for the group.  These three people help me be the face for FSFFA in their respective counties.  I am also looking for a few people to help fill out a “Steering Committee” for the group.  This committee would assist with legislation review and help chart the overall direction of the group.  If you believe you can help out in either of these positions, please let me know.

The single most important thing you can do right now is get people interested and involved.  All of us know others who are pro-gun and pro-rights.  Tell them about the FSFFA.  Get them to visit the website, and most importantly, tell them to sign up for our Mailing List.  We need to band together and make our voices heard, as one, or we will be left in the cold by those who want to take our rights away.

Thank you for your support, and as always, carry on!

Sean McClanahan
